You can tell by jerseys that our choir is wearing in this photo that it was taken last year (however, with yesterday’s win, it is now no longer 100% embarrassing to be seen in a Colts jersey). Since I lived most of my adult life in Wisc. (and am therefore a Packer fan), I don’t have that problem this year… : )
As a side note, we did actually discuss whether it was appropriate for our choir to wear team jerseys when on the platform. This was Super Bowl weekend last year, as well as the celebration of a successful financial campaign (some of which went towards helping in the city of Indy) – we try to make it abundantly clear who we worship (and it’s NOT the Colts), so we thought it would be OK…
