I must admit, I enjoy watching the TV show “Storage Wars.” It’s about people who buy abandoned storage lockers sight unseen, and the various “treasures” that they uncover. One of the guys has a saying: “This is the Wow Factor!” He means something cool that makes him want to come back and do it again.
We use “The Wow Factor” in a different way… Moving lights, a huge video screen, etc… It’s to get a new person to maybe come back one more time. It’s to show that life with Jesus doesn’t mean that you have to become a monk or a nun. It’s also to show that we care – people put effort and excellence into things that they care about. Why should we ever hear “it’s good enough for church?”
