You know, I’ve been guilty – as a worship team guy – in the past of feeling like we were the ones that “made the weekend happen.” That was pretty dumb. Our church has 4000-5000 people each weekend, and it’s not eight or nine worship team members that make it all happen. It’s techies. It’s Sunday School workers. It’s parking people. It’s ushers. It’s the people that fold the bulletins. It’s our Lead Pastor. It’s (very important) the person who brings the donuts. All these, and many, many more, work together to represent Jesus to a world that desperately needs to know Him.
So, the next time you’re dumb (like me), deflate a little bit and remember that the team is a lot bigger than we sometimes think… (BTW, these are some of our fantastic ushers)
