So much time and effort is [ironically] spent on trying to avoid investing time and effort. Virtually every good thing in this world requires hard work – and often hard work for an extended period of time. That’s not a bad thing – it is, in fact, what we were created to do. One of the lies of our age [and probably every other age] is that happiness will be found through luxury and leisure, when – in fact – those are often roads to emptiness, boredom and even depression. Don’t get me wrong – everyone needs a break once in a while. But we were designed to do more than binge-watch Netflix, surf YouTube and play games on our phones…
