I’ve served at several churches in my (multiple) decades of ministry, and almost all of them have had balconies. As I’ve said before, when you have a balcony, the surface of the stage becomes part of the “look” – for better or for worse.
People have wondered over the years how we were able to paint the stage in such high-quality ways. The answer? We didn’t. The images that you see in the attached photos are actually giant vinyl stickers. These stickers [which are best installed by people who know what they’re doing], really make a difference in the look and feel of a room – they are an especially nice tool to have in your pocket as Christmas approaches…
P.S. Come to think of it, we did paint imagery or patterns on the stage occasionally. But the stickers looked better… : )
