Hard Work and Imagination

I have been blessed to serve with some teams that have created great music, designed emotionally moving services, and accomplished incredible things.

The biggest contributing factor in getting there? We tried.

We dreamed big dreams and then worked hard – really hard – to bring them to life. The difference I have seen in the teams that create memorable moments is not that they were brilliant and talented [although that doesn’t hurt]. It’s that they thought outside the box and worked with intensity, staring from the end and moving backwards so that they always knew where they were headed. They unleashed their imaginations, clearly defined the results they wanted to achieve and then worked like crazy to make it happen. Work of this sort isn’t draining – it’s life giving. You come to the end of it, likely very tired, but knowing you made a difference…

“Your imagination is your preview of life’s coming attractions.” – Albert Einstein
