It’s Holy Week. However, the hard truth is that it’s a meaningless phrase to many, if not most, these days. People just don’t know what happened. Perhaps a vague idea, perhaps bits and pieces. But not the full story.
So tell them. Preaching pastors, you MUST explain the cross and the Resurrection and what it all means. It is your number one job – not just at Easter, as a pastor. If not you, then in some way in the service. Not subtly, not buried in artsiness, but in a straightforward way that all can understand.
