Using projected or painted backgrounds is tricky… If the image is abstract, no problem. However, if it’s recognizable, the image is usually much more effective if it’s scaled to the size of the platform (ie. it looks like something continuing into the background). In the image here – a painting of the Sermon on the Mount – it’s not scaled perfectly, but the scaling was close enough so that it looked like it could have actually been happening in the distance.
