We have offered prayer after our services several times this year (including every week during a four week series on The Holy Spirit). We don’t get into a long, drawn-out counseling session – people simply come forward and describe in a few words what they would like us to pray for. We have pastors, elders and prayer team members at the front – people line up, and we probably pray with each person about two minutes.
We started this by asking God to provide miracles in the lives of people who needed them (pretty much all of us, in one way or another). We didn’t know how many people would want prayer, but literally hundreds came forward. We’ve heard story after story of answered prayer (and we were able to address the issue of unanswered prayer).
