In the creative planning process, there really need to be (at least) two parts:
STEP ONE: BRAINSTORMING – All ideas are valid, quantity over quality, outside the box is good (even preferred)…
and
STEP TWO: NARROWING IT DOWN: Actually looking at the merits of each idea, and figuring out which idea is best for the situation (or is even possible)…
Just make sure that you’re not functioning in step two all of the time – let the ideas fly before bringing things back to earth. And never say:
