Clarity is key. It’s very difficult to win if you don’t know the rules of the game. While we are not in a competition with each other in the church, we are in competition with every other potential use of time [see Len Schlesinger’s Harvard study] other than going to church. That means we had better have a pretty good handle on what it is that we are trying to accomplish.

So – write down your goals. Create plans. Set timelines. Figure out accountability. Make sure that the “win” is realistic and achievable. And create something great for the glory of God!
