In this day of digital everything, fewer people bother to print out music anymore. That makes sense – there is a real cost to it in paper, and especially printer ink, lol. However, one of the things that has been lost with many worship team members is note-taking – ie writing down things that you need to remember or watch out for. It may be a tricky transition, or a key change, or the ending that you’re going to do differently from the recorded version, etc… I would encourage you to go through the process of physically writing everything down – even if you don’t print the music, use a piece of scrap paper to write down some notes. Doing that helps to ensure that you’ve looked through your music well, and the physical act of writing it down help to cement it in your memory.
