A follow-up to yesterday’s post. I am a task-oriented person. I believe it is my life mission to increase excellence in the church, but – in doing so – I have sometimes lost the people part of it. I’m not saying that individuals don’t need to be confronted when their actions and attitudes affect the team [and the church] negatively. However, I AM saying that encouragement is something that we all need. Life isn’t easy to navigate, and – as pastors/church leaders – we have a responsibility to build those up who God has placed in our care. I’m a “lists” guy – maybe encouraging three [or more] people each day need to be on your list. : )
