How your worship team looks at themselves will be set by your example, as well as how you view them. If you look at them as simply musicians, that is how they will see themselves. They will focus entirely on whether a particular worship song is sung/played well, and ignore what is being expressed – and that’s how you end up with frowning guitarists staring at their shoes in the midst of a song about joy…
P.S. Make sure that worship team are attending a service – otherwise they are just hired hands…
