Overcommunicate to your teams – especially about important strategies that you have been thinking about and mulling over for a long time. On the surface, it seems obvious, but we often forget – when we have lived with an idea for a long time, we often have internal dialogs and conversations, going over the plusses and minuses of whatever initiative we’re focused on. It’s easy to lose track of which conversations actually happened in the real world, especially if it’s something we’ve really been obsessing over…

Long story short? Thinking about something a lot is NOT the same as expressing it. It’s easy to fool ourselves into assuming that we’ve gotten the word out when in actuality it’s been mainly in our heads. So – back to the beginning… Overcommunicate.
