A brief thought for a Wednesday morning… It seems like hardly a week goes by these days when we don’t hear of the “fall” of someone who was considered to be a role model. It might be a pastor or a Christian artist – an athlete or a political figure. The reality is that people are broken. I have never known a person aside from the Son of God who was without sin. I have been blessed to have several mentors in my life who impacted me in very positive ways, but they were – and are – imperfect people. I’ve come to the point in my life where I choose virtues, rather than people, as my role models. 

I will never achieve perfection, or anything remotely close to it on this earth – but you don’t stop your journey simply because a log falls across the road or you take a wrong turn. #creativeworshipideas
